NI (National Instruments), a provider of software-centric platforms that help users accelerate the development and performance of automated test and automated measurement systems, today announced the availability of the latest version of LabVIEW NXG, a testament to NI's continued investment in its next-generation LabVIEW engineering system design software.
The latest version of LabVIEW NXG simplifies some of the most time-consuming tasks in automated test and measurement applications, such as setting up and configuring the system, writing test and measurement code, and developing applications that can be deployed as Web pages. These improvements help engineers meet increasingly tight time-to-market requirements
Dave Wilson, vice president of platform software at NI, said, "Since LabVIEW NXG debuted in 2017, we've been working to make programming and measurement automation easier for engineers and scientists. Over the past year and a half, we've added more than 40 new features to LabVIEW NXG that dramatically improve software development efficiency, allowing engineers to configure, automate and visualize their test results using just one piece of software."
The new LabVIEW NXG features include:
- LabVIEW NXG FPGA Module-Support for USRP (Universal Software Radio Device) and Kintex-7 FlexRIO hardware with new workflows for faster FPGA development and debugging.
- LabVIEW NXG Web Module-Includes activities and properties for dynamic Web applications, support for integrating JavaScript libraries into WebVI, and access to SystemLink Cloud? software (SystemLink Cloud? is NI's cloud-service software for hosting WebVI, which offers advantages such as simplicity and security. and security).
- Development Environment Optimization-Provides integration and software engineering tools for rapid application customization, including support for registered . software. The MATLAB interface capability allows engineers to fully reuse existing IP by calling MATLAB code directly within the LabVIEW NXG environment.
NI has been investing in software for more than 30 years, and this latest version of the next-generation LabVIEW software continues the previous series of rapid-release updates designed to expand its engineering development capabilities from the design domain to the test domain. Whether you're a first-time LabVIEW buyer or have been a longtime member user for years, you can get new versions of LabVIEW NXG and LabVIEW 2018.
